£41,346 per annum, plus competitive sleep‑in payments, a £500 Welcome Bonus on successful probation, and a £1,000 referral reward.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of support workers
  • Ensure children receive the highest level of support
  • Support the home management team with timely updates
  • Average of eight overnight sleep‑ins per month
  • Promote individuality – a “one size fits all” approach is not used
  • Monitor care plans and produce reports for managers
  • Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
  • Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn and movie nights, or creative projects
  • New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system daily to document, monitor and update children and young people’s records accurately - experience with Clearcare is an advantage but full training will be provided

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years in a similar role within children’s residential care
  • Level 3/4 qualification in Children’s Residential or Children’s Workforce
  • Manual UK driving licence is essential
  • Experience supporting team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to cover shifts flexibly
