We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our service in Leicester. The role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Whether you are new to care or experienced, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long‑term career and make a real difference.
The service includes Huntsman Lodge, a Supported Living facility. People we support enjoy a wide variety of activities such as bowling, swimming, dance, music, theme parks, meals out, Christmas markets, holidays, short breaks, walks in local parks, cooking and baking skills to develop life‑skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver person‑centred support in line with individual support plans.
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
- Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.
- Support activities, appointments and community access.
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
- Work a rota that includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep‑ins.
Requirements
- We are looking for caring, patient and respectful individuals with a positive, resilient approach.
- You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
- No previous experience required – we provide full training and a structured induction programme.
- Willingness to work towards a Health and Social Care qualification.
- Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
- Drivers licence desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS check (paid for by CareTech).
