Female Regional Support Worker

Overview

We are recruiting Regional Support Workers to join our services in the North Region, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Whether you\’re new to care or experienced, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career. The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support activities including arts and crafts, days out (theme parks, meals out, social activities, Christmas markets), holidays and short breaks, walks in the local park and community, and cooking and baking to develop life skills.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
• Hold a full, valid driving license and use of a car; travel as required for this opening.
• Possible overnight stops may be involved.

What we’re looking for / Requirements

• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Experience of supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
• Drivers are essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Excellent communication and written skills; ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Confidence to work alone and as part of a team.
