About the Service - Park Lane

Park Lane is a five bedded residential care home, located on the outskirts of Fareham, a market town at the northwest tip of Portsmouth Harbour, between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton in south east Hampshire. The town can be accessed by rail or road links via the M27 and A27. Fareham is a modern and thriving town, offering a gateway to a wealth of social, vocational and educational opportunities. Park Lane supports men and women with complex or enduring mental health disorders who have demonstrated the ability to gain further independence and functionality in a community setting.

The Role

  • Participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
  • Support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
  • Maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
  • Work as part of a team to provide high quality care.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
  • Drivers desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
