We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students with diverse needs who are unable to access mainstream education. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire young people through personalised, accessible teaching in a supportive environment.
Netherlea School is managed within the Applied Care and Development (ACAD) organisation, which is a subsidiary of the proprietor, CareTech Community Services Ltd. It is an all-through independent special school, located in Dumfries. The school supports children and young people who have faced significant disruption to their learning as a result of social, emotional and behavioural needs, autistic spectrum disorder or learning difficulties. The school registration is for up to 16 children and young people between the ages of 8 years old and 18 years old.
Requirements:- Appropriate primary / secondary teaching qualification.
- Develop productive nurturing relationships with our young people.
- Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education and wider well-being.
- Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and planning.
- Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
- Develop the school curriculum.
- Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
- Promote and safeguard the health, wellbeing and safety of pupils.
- Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and self evaluation.
