As a Registered Manager of this 2 bed Children's home you will:

  • Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
  • Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive. Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
  • Establish and Monitor High-Quality Care Standards: Ensure compliance with quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
  • Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns. Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
  • Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate.

Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application; if not, then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post. Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements. Planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership. Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
