ROC Northwest Ltd has been operating since 2005 and is an established residential care provider for children in the Lancashire and Greater Manchester area of the North West of the UK. ROC (raising our children) provides loving, nurturing homes for children from the age of eight up to 18 years old. We provide care and support for children with complex needs in traditional family-style homes in community settings.

As a Registered Manager our expectation is that your home will be rated as at least "Good" by Ofsted. This is a 5 bed OUTSTANDING Children’s Home where you will:
- Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
- Develop a great team: Working with the recruitment teams support, bring in the right people for your home to ensure your success.
- Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
- Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
- Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with the quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
- Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
- Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
- Embrace a safe culture: Ensure the children in your service are cared for at the best possible standard.
- Effective Commercial Management of your home: Ensure you manage your home aligned to budget expectations.
Essential Requirements and Experience
- Passionate about making the difference to the lives of young people in care.
- Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Qualifications: Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post.
- Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Skills: Efficient in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
- Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
- Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
- Driving License: Full UK required.
