Children’s Residential Worker – Child Sexual Exploitation

Pay: £27,435 to £28,724 + £3,000 sleep-in bonus (annual average)

At Cambian you’re not just working - you’re shaping futures. As a Children’s Support Worker, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 11–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. A shared laugh over a board game or encouragement during a tough moment - these small interactions build trust and shape lives.

As a Children’s support worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, including:

  • Getting them ready for school
  • Prepping for meal times
  • Planning activities

Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping. Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects. Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with ClearCare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.

We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where both young people and our dedicated staff can thrive, grow, and enjoy positive, meaningful experiences. Our home is a place of belonging, creativity, and care — a place where everyone is encouraged to be themselves.

At our home, we are strong advocates for our young people. Our team’s approach begins with understanding the individual needs of our young people, alongside recognising each team member’s strengths and areas for growth. This thoughtful foundation allows us to work collaboratively and consistently, ensuring we provide meaningful and effective support that has a lasting impact on the lives of the young people in our care.

Teamwork and open communication are at the heart of everything we do. We regularly reflect on our practice, support one another and are committed to ongoing professional development. This shared commitment not only strengthens our team but also creates a positive, stable environment where both staff and young people can thrive.

No prior experience? If you have the passion, we’ll provide the training.

Exclusive discounts at major retailers (ASDA, Tesco, M&S, etc.)

Health benefits, including dental and optical cashback after two years.

Helpline and hardship grants via the CareTech Foundation.

Expert Training: Two weeks of fully funded induction.

Career Growth: Fully Funded Diplomas (Levels 3-5) and clear pathways for promotion.

Supportive Team: Work with people who care as much as you do.

This isn’t just a job - it’s a chance to change lives, one extraordinary day at a time.

Safeguarding Statement: Caretech is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children. All applicants must pass an enhanced DBS check and provide references covering the past two years plus all roles involving vulnerable groups.
