As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
- Support young people with their daily routines; getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
- Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
- Lead shifts and deputise for the home manager.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
- Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Our home has amazing children who make every day great for us. Our team is a long-standing core team, with some members having been here for over 10 years. We have three wonderful boys. Our youngest loves everything cinema, Disney, singing and dancing. Our older boys enjoy visiting new cities, trying food, boxing, football and Xbox. Hopefully, you can beat them at FIFA as none of us has been able to yet. Our boys are funny, tricksters, and loving.
We go to team meetings, team building and all work hard to support each other both in work and outside of work. We have weekly meetings with our boys to get their views and we do lots of activities with them.
Requirements:
- Driver with a full UK driving licence.
- Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
- Two years working experience in a residential setting.
