Role

Female Waking Night Support Worker to join our service in Ashford, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. This is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career and make a difference.

About the Service

Orchard House is a small, friendly home which provides care and support for up to 10 people with learning and physical disabilities. The service users range in age from 31 to 66 and include 2 females and 8 males. They have varying needs, including autism, epilepsy, mental health needs, Angelman syndrome, and wheelchair user requirements. There is easy access to public transport, with regular buses stopping 50 yards from the service, onsite parking, proximity to the international train station, and local shops.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
  • Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing
  • Support activities, appointments and community access
  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
  • Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Requirements

  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
  • Drivers desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
