Job Description

Support Worker – Driver preferable to support service users to and from appointments, day trips etc using the service vehicle. To help them achieve this you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends and potential sleep ins.\\n\\nIf your best traits are positivity, friendliness and innovation then this job is for you!\\n\\nMain Duties and Responsibilities:\\n\\nTo participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.\\n\\nTo maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.\\n\\nTo support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events.\\n\\nTo maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.\\n\\nTo work as part of a team to provide high quality care.\\n\\nPersonal Characteristics:\\n\\nDiploma in Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards one.\\n\\nExperience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.\\n\\nThe ability to keep calm under pressure.\\n\\nThe confidence to work alone or as part of a team.\\n\\nExcellent communication skills\\n\\nThe passion to work with vulnerable adults\\n\\nThe desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.\\n\\nThe Organisation:\\n\\nCareTech Community Services Ltd, established in 1994, is one of the largest providers of specialist social care services supporting 5000 adults with a wide range of needs in more than 300 services across the UK.
