Responsibilities

  • To select and apply occupational therapy assessments for a caseload of people with complex needs which address occupational performance and skill deficits, and enables the service user in areas of self-care, productivity, leisure and recovery.
  • To promote evidence-based practice in occupational therapy.
  • To establish effective communication networks with service users, carers, other health workers and agencies, and to demonstrate skills in communicating complex, sensitive and contentious information to service users and carers/families.
  • To contribute to the induction and training of students and other staff within the service.
  • To provide specialist advice and support to OT colleagues in other clinical areas.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • You should be caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach.
  • You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, and be flexible and reliable.
  • You must have a degree or a postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in working with mental health needs.
  • Must be a driver and have access to own transport.
  • Be a strong team player.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • We may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full contractual hours or requirements of the role.

About the Service – All Hallows, Suffolk

All Hallows is a Neurological Rehabilitation Centre that provides specialist residential rehabilitation for individuals aged 18 and over with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). We also support a small number of individuals diagnosed with other complex neurological conditions, such as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Guillain‑Barré Syndrome (GBS). Located in the quiet village of Ditchingham, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, All Hallows offers a calm, rural setting with access to a wide range of social and vocational opportunities. The centre is set within extensive wheelchair‑accessible gardens, including a tranquil sensory garden created for reflection and relaxation.
