Role: Female Support Worker

Location: Huddersfield

Salary: £12.36

Hours: 37.50 Hours Contract

Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment; the disclosure expense will be met by the employer.

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will provide person-centred support to adults with complex needs. You will:

  • Support individuals to live independently and participate in daily life activities
  • Observe and respond to service users’ needs with empathy and patience
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues
  • Remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
  • Work both independently and as part of a supportive team (family)
  • Be flexible to work unsociable hours, weekends, and bank holidays

  • Experience in a caring environment essential
  • Experience of working with adults with autism
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Friendly, positive, and empowering attitude; person-centred focus
