Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work with the manager in offering a professional, flexible service
- Supervise and lead a team of support workers to enable service users to lead fulfilling lives
- Act as a role model for staff
- Offer regular supervision to all staff
- Engage with service users and staff, seeking opportunities for improvements
- Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities
- Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting confidentiality
- Maintain accurate notes and records as required
- Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care
Personal Characteristics:
- Diploma in Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or willingness to work towards one
- Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues
- Ability to keep calm under pressure
- Confidence to work alone or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion to work with vulnerable adults
- Desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
