About the role
At Cambian you’re not just working - you’re shaping futures, as a Residential Support Worker based within Wigan we help young people aged 8–18 feel safe, valued and supported.
What You’ll Do
- Support young people with daily routines: getting ready for school, meal times and planning activities
- Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
- Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
- Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care
Where You’ll Do It
Our home is a two bed Children’s home for those with LD and EBD needs. Staff are therapeutically trained to deliver a unique service that caters for children’s needs. The home has a family feel and modern furnishings. There is one young person currently, working towards semi independence with support from staff, a mentor and clinical services. The team has regular meetings, supervisions and promotes independence skills.
