At Cambian Group, we’re looking for someone passionate about making a real difference to young people’s lives to join us as a Trainee Children’s Registered Manager in Torbay. This isn’t just another management role. It’s a chance to grow, learn, and develop into a future Registered Manager with the support, mentoring, and training to help you succeed.

You’ll work closely with the Assistant Regional Manager, an experienced Registered Manager, learning the ins and outs of running a successful children’s home while still staying hands-on with the young people and team. No being stuck behind a desk all day - we want someone who enjoys building relationships, creating positive experiences for young people, and leading a team that genuinely cares.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the home
  • Helping lead and motivate the team
  • Creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for young people
  • Supporting care planning and safeguarding
  • Developing staff and helping new team members grow
  • Working alongside professionals, families, and external agencies
  • Learning everything you need to progress into a Registered Manager role

Who We’re Looking for & you might already be:

  • A Deputy Manager ready for more responsibility
  • A Team Leader wanting a clear progression path

Essential Requirements and Experience:

  • Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. We will fund and guide you through Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted and residential childcare regulations
  • Confidence leading shifts and supporting staff
  • The drive to learn and progress
  • Driving License: Full UK required.
