What You’ll Do

  • Support young people with daily routines such as preparing for school, meal times, and planning activities.
  • Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
  • Lead shifts and deputise for the home manager.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
  • Plan and participate in activities like trips to the park, movie nights, or creative projects.
  • Maintain essential records to ensure the best care possible.

Where You’ll Do It

The home is a semi-rural, three-bedroom detached bungalow surrounded by fields, with ample space for activities. It features an annex with a pool table, darts, and a large area for games. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. We currently support three boys aged 11 to 16, with each day offering new experiences, laughter, and fun. The team of three staff members work in shifts, including overnight stays, providing consistency and stability for the young people.

Who You Are

  • Warm, patient, a great listener, and encouraging—focused on achieving positive outcomes for others.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
  • At least two years of experience working in a residential setting.
