Location: Basildon, Essex

Rate: ***** per hour + ***** per sleep-in

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service

Ashview House is an 11 bed residential service providing support for Adults with Learning Disability, Physical disability, Epilepsy and Adults on the Spectrum. Person centred care is very important to us at Ashview House. As a team, we focus on the abilities of the people we support and promote learning of new skills, thereby promoting independence and an improved quality of life. We have an open culture where staff feel safe to challenge bad practice, learn from mistakes, share knowledge and lessons learnt. The people we support are involved in the day-to-day running of their home.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

  • Swimming
  • Buccia games
  • Bowling
  • Meals out in restaurant of choice
  • Holidays at least one per year
  • Shopping
  • Cinema
  • Bus ride or walks
  • Winter wonderland
  • and lots more

The Role

You will:

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Support activities, appointments, and community access
  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
  • Work a rota including evenings, weekends
