We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to join our service in Ashford, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
About the Service – Orchard House
Orchard House is a small, friendly home which provides care and support for up to 10 people with learning and physical disabilities. The age of the service users is 40 to 74. They support 4 females and 6 males in this service.
The Role
You will:
- Deliver person‑centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support activities, appointments, and community access
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
- Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins; work with the manager in offering a professional, flexible service
- Supervise a team of support workers to enable our service users to lead as fulfilling and satisfying a life as they possibly can
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
Requirements
- Willingness to work towards Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
- Drivers desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
