We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team!

You must have at least 6 months experience working in the UK, within the care sector

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to our elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Working closely with our nursing staff and healthcare professionals, you will create a positive and supportive environment for our residents, enhancing their quality of life through compassionate care and meaningful interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care and support to residents, respecting their individuality, dignity, and independence.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate aids and techniques to ensure their safety.
  • Encourage and assist residents with eating, drinking, and following dietary requirements.
  • Engage in meaningful interactions with residents, offering companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in recreational activities and social events for residents\’ enjoyment.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents\’ physical or emotional well-being to the nursing team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents, ensuring their comfort and security.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to develop and implement individual care plans.
  • Attend to residents\’ personal and healthcare needs, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in promoting independence and self-esteem among residents, encouraging their active participation in daily activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant is required
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from nursing staff.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Flexibility with working hours, as this role may involve shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents\’ rights and privacy.
  • A satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required You will need to cover the cost of your DBS, if you do not already have one. This can be done at your interview.
