The predicted salary is between 25 - 33 £ per hour.

Location: Halewood, Liverpool

Rate: £33.88ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £25.26ph on a PAYE basis

Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until March 2027)

Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Position Description: The Electrical Engineering PVT team at the Halewood assembly plant are part of the product development engineering function. The team operate in an exciting and dynamic environment providing the interface between the core engineering team and manufacturing. As a PVT engineer you will work on electrical system quality issues affecting the vehicle assembly plant and our external customers. The electrical systems we are responsible for include control modules, software, switches and electrical wiring harnesses. You will monitor quality metrics to identify emerging issues, apply problem solving skills to those issues, develop containment solutions and assist in developing design change solutions. In this way, you will be contributing to the delivery of our quality targets for each vehicle line and contributing to the drive to achieve world class performance levels.

Skills Required:

  • Use of problem solving tools and processes
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of electrical systems (including control module software and electrical wiring harnesses)
  • Capability to use diagnostic tools to interrogate vehicle electrical systems via the CAN network

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Previous experience of plant vehicle quality operations in production including experience of delivery of problem resolutions in manufacturing
  • Previous experience of engineering delivery of electrical systems (including control module software and/or electrical wiring harnesses)

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • Microsoft tools (e.g. PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Ability to deliver clear, precise technical and metric based presentations to work groups
  • Knowledge/ability to use Data Logging tools (such as Corvus, Snapshot, DLT, CANalyser)
  • Good understanding of customer quality data systems & metrics (IQM, AWS, VFDB)
  • Knowledge and use of CAD systems (such as 3DX, Digibuck, Teamcentre)
  • Experience of cross functional co-ordination between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, service and quality
  • Previous knowledge of systems (such as WERS, AIMS, JIRA)
  • Analysis of internal and external quality data, including warranty and roadside assist data, to define problem definition statements and develop containment solutions.
