Rate: £30.24ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £22.58ph PAYE

Design proposals for EDU (electric drive unit) development:
- Package assessments on concept proposals
- Concept development to ensure credibility of proposal
- Investigation of potential incremental improvements for consideration in future developments or upgrades
On-cycle issue resolution:
- Supporting cross functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the D&R and integration squads
- Helping to identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes
Assembly management and drawing creation:
- Management of 3D assemblies
- Creation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture
Standards, processes and tool development:
- Full utilisation of current automotive OEM toolset
- Help to identify standards, processes and tools to develop
- Ensure alignment with standards and best practices
- Highlighting potential weaknesses and opportunities
Skills Required:
Essential:
- Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6
- Working knowledge of GD&T and general drafting
- Knowledge in delivering innovative design solutions
- Experience in project management and issue resolution
- Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
Desirable:
- Ability to manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments
- Previous experience of the automotive or manufacturing industry
- Experience of Agile project delivery
- Detailed knowledge of EDU design
Education Required:
- Degree in engineering or similar
