A workshop-based role working on current Production and Engineering vehicles with the objective of updating vehicles to the latest software pack ready for SOTA and Integration testing, fault detection, repair and testing of electrical and mechanical systems and components.
- Diagnostic and repair of mechanical vehicle systems i.e. engine and chassis systems.
- Software updates and testing.
- Service, diagnostics and repair operations on current vehicles.
- Provision of technical feedback for fault identification and support of subsystem development.
- Preparation, fitment and removal of test components.
- Assembly/replacement of systems/components.
- Manufacture/modification of electrical harnesses.
- Diagnose/trace faults, rectify and validate issues.
- Use of computer diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings and liaise with engineering departments.
- Fitment of harnesses and other components.
- Engineer "one off" solutions to overcome issues.
