The Opportunity
There's a revolution underway in our industry – and we're leading it. We've always been innovators. But our future will be driven by the possibilities created by new technologies as never before. Engineering Laboratories is a key player within programme delivery; its main function is to offer a world-class physical verification & validation service. The Component and Sub-System Test (CST) team support and assist our customers by executing their physical test cases through our test facility portfolio.
As the EDS Test Engineer, you will play the lead role in testing the structural integrity of all harnesses that exist in the vehicle, analysing results, and supporting issue resolution to ensure robust and reliable test delivery. You will also support other CST test teams (including full vehicle climatic testing). You will be expected to support the Lead Engineer in scheduling, setting up, executing and reporting of all test cases going through our Robotic Ambient test facility. In addition to this, you will be looking into facility & resource improvements (e.g. upgrading the facility to allow for climatic testing) and maintenance activity of these facilities to ensure they remain fully operational and able to support the new technologies as they are rolled out.
As part of the monitoring and supporting aspects of your role, you will be expected to participate in any Agile roll out within the laboratory or customer base when required. You will be part of a small dynamic team and will be empowered to improve our service to our stakeholders and ensuring we offer a customer-centric approach, whilst sustaining the current service offering provided by Engineering Laboratories.
