Rate: £38.57ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £28.72ph on a PAYE basis

Position Description

Reporting to the Regional Purchasing Manager, this role will manage the external supply chain from suppliers and ensure supplier performance meets Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Sustainability (QCDIS) requirements. The role handles post-sourcing commercial contract and change management activities for designated commodities and suppliers, and interfaces with key functions including Production Purchasing, Product Engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance, Material Planning and Logistics, Cost Estimating and Manufacturing.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Cost Management: Ensure effective cost management of particular commodities and suppliers, launch new products at target cost, achieve year-on-year cost reduction, resolve in-contract commercial issues, lead negotiations with external suppliers.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Participate in and lead Supplier Business Reviews, support stakeholder engagement, act as primary interface with Product Engineering, develop global supplier relationships, validate commercial contracts, analyse supplier programme resources, manufacturing process and cost drivers, OEE, shift patterns, valuation and risk management.
  • Other: Contribute to process improvement and best practice adoption, manage supplier and supply chain risk post SCPA, ensure compliance with client Way and KWS processes, maintain system integrity, and undertake other duties as directed.
