Job Description:
Duties:
- Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines.
- Act as an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, representing the voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment.
- Detect where attribute performance could vary away from target through objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, and build conformance checks.
- Perform initial root cause investigations and drive issues to resolution with relevant teams.
- Collaborate closely with the Core Aeroacoustics Team to understand future product attributes and ongoing quality actions.
- Flexibility to work across various sites (Gaydon, Coventry, Solihull, Halewood) is required.
Skills:
- Experience in an automotive production plant quality role.
- Proficiency in engineering problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis) for complex issues.
- Full driving licence and ability to subjectively assess driven attributes.
- Experience with plant attributes (S&R, Wind Noise, Water Test), NVH development and measurement, vehicle testing and assessment, automotive component development.
