As CareScribe expands into data‑centric operations, we need a Data & AI Lead to shape the organization’s data strategy, build scalable data infrastructure, and drive AI initiatives that improve decision‑making across the business. In this role you will partner with the Head of Finance & Operations and external data consultants to establish a trusted data platform, improve reporting consistency, and deliver practical AI‑enabled improvements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work cross‑functionally to identify high‑impact data opportunities and propose solutions.
- Own and execute CareScribe’s data strategy and roadmap.
- Build and maintain the data platform, pipelines, and warehouse for accurate, governed data.
- Lead reporting, analytics, and business intelligence across the organization.
- Establish and enforce data definitions, governance, and standards.
- Introduce self‑serve analytics tools and support teams.
- Build data literacy across the business.
AI
- Establish lightweight AI governance and responsible‑use practices.
- Collaborate with external consultants to shape and deliver the AI roadmap.
- Identify and prioritize practical AI use cases across workflows and operations.
- Advance CareScribe’s internal AI maturity through tooling and education.
About You
- Several years’ experience in a data role with real business impact.
- Experience as a functional lead or sole practitioner, owning a discipline end‑to‑end.
- Hands‑on technical experience in: SQL & data modelling, cloud data warehouses, BI tools, ingestion/pipeline tools.
- Strong problem‑solving, embedding into operational domains to shape data‑led solutions.
- Ability to prioritize business value over technical interest.
- Practical exposure to AI in a business context and curiosity about the field.
- Excellent communicator, translating complex ideas for non‑technical audiences.
- Passion for CareScribe’s mission and the people we serve.
- Significant experience building analytics or analytics‑engineering capability and delivering measurable impact.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a SaaS or scaling technology business.
- Experience building or evolving a modern data stack in a greenfield environment.
- Experience working with external consultants or implementation partners.

- The salary for this role ranges from £65,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience).
