Carers Breaks Co-ordinator (initially funded until June 2028)
Opportunity available to help make life better for unpaid carers
Hours – 22.5 hours per week
Salary – £15,748 actual based on hours stated above (£26,253 per annum FTE)
Fixed Term until June 2028 with a view to extending this subject to funding

Our charity, Carers Support, works across Bristol and S. Glos to support unpaid carers who are supporting family member/s or friend at home.
We currently have an exciting vacancy in our Carers Time Team to coordinator our Carers Breaks Service for carers in South Gloucestershire. You will be responsible for supporting and matching carers with volunteers, who require the service. As well as recruiting, training and supporting a team of volunteers.
Main duties would include:
- Coordinate and develop a high quality ‘sitting service’ for carers in South Gloucestershire.
- Recruit, train and support a team of volunteer ‘sitters’.
- Promote and refer carers to short breaks opportunities and external breaks service as appropriate.
Closing date for applications is Monday 5th October 2026 at 12 noon with interviews at our offices in Fishponds on Thursday 15th October 2026.
