The Role – Domiciliary Care
As a domiciliary (home) carer, you’ll visit people in their own homes to help them live safely, comfortably, and independently. Instead of working in one building, you’ll travel between clients in your local area, supporting them with everyday tasks and providing companionship. Typical visits may include:
- Helping with personal care such as washing, dressing, and getting ready for the day
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Supporting with medication reminders
- Helping with light household tasks
- Providing companionship and conversation
- Offering reassurance and emotional support
For many clients, your visit is a key part of their day, helping them stay independent and improving their quality of life.
