1. Responsibilities
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered support tailored to the individual needs of our service users across the Brighton & Hove community.
Your core duties will include
- Personal Care & Hygiene: Assisting individuals with personal care, dressing, washing, and mobility while promoting their independence and dignity.
- Nutrition & Household Support: Preparing nutritious meals, handling light housework, and running local shopping errands.
- Medication & Administration: Administering prescribed medication safely and maintaining accurate, clear daily care records.
- Wellbeing & Companionship: Providing vital emotional support, encouragement, and regular companionship to enhance overall quality of life.
- Community Support: Representing Carepoint Services reliably during morning (7:00 AM - 11:00 AM) and evening (5:00 PM -10:00 PM) visits, including weekend rota cover.

We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who share our passion for high standards of care. The ideal Domiciliary Care Worker candidate will demonstrate:
- Core Qualities: A naturally caring, empathetic, and reliable nature, with strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility & Commitment: Availability to work flexible shift patterns, including morning or evening blocks and weekend routines.
- Travel
Capability: Ability to travel efficiently between service users' homes across Moulsecoomb, Saltdean, Woodingdean, and the Marina area (access to a vehicle is advantageous; mileage paid).
- Background: No prior professional experience is required we welcome career changers as well as experienced care workers.
Full structured induction and ongoing training are provided to every new Home Care Assistant.
