Job Description
Care Plus are looking for caring individuals to provide Domiciliary care on a rota basis in the Armagh, Richhill and Hamiltonsbawn areas of Armagh. We are looking for people to work on a 3/4 working pattern which is Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday on Week 1 and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on Week 2 repeating. To provide care for elderly, disabled and convalescent clients to enable them to remain in their own homes maintaining an independent lifestyle. - Helping clients in and out of bed (using hoist if required) washing, dressing and toileting.
- Bathing/showering client, Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Bed making, laundry duties, shopping.
- Assisting with regular exercise (walks) where appropriate
- Record information on service plan sheets
- To provide cover for other carers who are off sick or on annual leave

Essential Criteria:
- Have the ability to take on a range of personal tasks in accordance with each clients Care Plan
- Have the ability to work as a team member
- Have use of a mobile-phone
- Have use of or access to a car
- Have good communication skills
- Be willing to undertake mandatory training as required e.g. (First Aid – Manual Handling – Food Hygiene etc.)
- A friendly caring attitude
- The ability to be flexible
- Good organisational skills
- Good observational skills
- General good health
- Please be aware that enhanced disclosure checks with Access NI are required
Desirable Criteria:
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in caring desirable but not essential as training will be given
- Experience of working in the Caring field either in formal/community setting
- A geographical knowledge of the area
