Role Overview
Caremark Edinburgh is recruiting caring, reliable and compassionate people to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you'll support customers in their own homes, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity. Whether you have experience or are new to care, we'll support you to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Help customers get up, go to bed, wash, bathe, dress and use the toilet
- Support mobility, physical disabilities, incontinence care and personal aids
- Provide comfort and practical support to customers who are unwell or receiving end‐of‐life care
- Encourage wellbeing through conversation, hobbies, outings and meaningful activities
- Perform light household tasks such as making beds, tidying, laundry and emptying commodes
- Prepare and serve light meals, set trays and wash up
- Record clear care notes and contribute to customer reviews
- Report any changes in a customer's health or circumstances
- Promote independence at every opportunity
