If this is you then perhaps you were a born Care Coordinator.
As a Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for aligning the schedule of your Care & Support Workers with the important needs of supporting people to receive care in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include
- Allocation of Care & Support Workers to all service user visits.
- Responding to incoming telephone enquiries.
- Processing new service user referrals.
- Preparing appropriate documentation for Field Care Supervisors.
- Ensuring Customer and Care & Support Worker records are up to date.
- Producing reports and management information as required.
Some key skills that you will need for this role include: being a good communicator, experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), the ability to work under pressure and great organisational skills.
If you’ve worked in the care industry previously (or have a personal experience with care) then that would be great as well, but it’s not mandatory.
