Our purpose is to support everyone to continue to live independently in their own homes and have a fulfilled life. We have various full and part time Care Assistant jobs in Hitchin, Hertfordshire to provide a range of home care options to our clients including companionship care, personal care, dementia care, respite care, overnight care, reablement care, live in care, palliative care and children’s care. Principal Responsibilities of a Care Assistant This role takes place between 10pm and 7am within the customer’s home and covers all responsibilities of a care assistant. Show up with a smile to provide companionship and build trust with customers. To assist clients who need help getting into and out of bed, including dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet. To help with their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment. To care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding etc. To provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill. To make and change beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying. To inspect, launder and mend clients’ clothes. To set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clearing away and washing up. To read and write reports and be involved in clients’ reviews and training activities. To adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times. To report either to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client. To encourage the independence of clients wherever possible. Benefits of Working for Caremark Competitive industry hourly pay. Paid mileage of 35p per mile between client visits.
