Location: 72 Outram Street. At Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield, we are a leading provider of Community Complex Care, proudly supporting adults to live independently with dignity and purpose.
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Community Health Support Worker to support a gentleman living with Cerebral Palsy and asthma who lives in the NG17 area of Kirkby-in-Ashfield. He has a good sense of humour, interest in sports, and enjoys a pub lunch out in Nottingham, attending football games and ice hockey. He likes to have British hearty home-cooked food.
This role is live-in based, working on a 1:1 basis, involving long social visits on a consistent rota (including Saturdays and Sundays). The successful applicant must have a clean UK Driving Licence and be able to drive the customer's car.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the client's mental wellbeing, independence, and daily living needs (to cook and serve meals, basic domestic tasks).
- Engaging in community activities, conversation surrounding sports and interests (especially football) and social outings.
- Assisting to maintain personal appearance.
- Engaging in companionship living within the client's home.
- Building professional and respectful relationships with the client, family, and external care professionals.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement.
About You:
- Experience of working with customers with Cerebral Palsy preferable but not essential.
- You are empathetic, professional, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care.
- You are able to form strong, professional boundaries while offering emotional and practical support.
- You hold a clean UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.
- You are interested in developing or enhancing your skills in the care and mental health sector.
- You are willing to work weekends and follow a consistent shift pattern.
