Company Description: Caremark are the UK’s leading provider of care and companionship services for people. With award winning training, an excellent reputation and a caring team we are immensely proud of the outstanding quality of care we provide in our community. We match our Care Assistants to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enable us to provide personalised support. Caremark Cheshire North East is a family‑owned business providing the highest standard of care and support.
Job Description: We’re looking for people with the personality and passion to build great relationships with our clients. Our clients trust us. They will rely on you to listen carefully to what they need, take an interest in them, and deliver excellent care. If you enjoy interacting with individuals and want to pursue an opportunity to make a difference in peoples lives, caregiving might be the career for you. The central and most important part of a care professional role with Caremark is offering companionship and conversation. Each of our Care Assistants are matched to a client based on mutual interests and hobbies to encourage a strong relationship to develop. We believe you need this understanding and bond to be able to care for someone as if they were a member of your own family. Indeed, many of our Care Assistants do not have formal experience of working as a carer before they join our team but have looked after a family member and want to make a difference to a person’s life by using the experience they have gained. Our service is companionship led and so a considerable responsibility of a Care Assistant is to stimulate and encourage the client through a range of different activities that sustain or improve their quality of life. A Care Assistant’s responsibilities can also include accompanying clients to appointments and social events, light housekeeping, planning and preparing meals and helping with daily living routines including assisting with personal care.
Qualifications: You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant with us. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
Additional Information (Benefits): Award winning training, Excellent rates of pay – £12.26 per hour, up to £15.00 on weekends.
