We have various Care Assistant jobs in North Hertfordshire in the towns of Baldock, Royston, Letchworth, Hitchin, Stevenage, Knebworth, and Codicote, to provide a range of home care options to our clients including companionship care, personal care, dementia care, respite care, overnight care, reablement care, live‑in care, palliative care, and children’s care.
Working Hours:
- Royston: Monday to Sunday 7am to 11am
- Royston: 7am to 10pm
- Stevenage: Monday to Sunday 7am to 12pm / 6pm to 10pm
Principal Responsibilities of a Care Assistant:
- Show up with a smile to provide companionship and build trust with customers.
- Assist clients who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including dressing, washing, bathing and toileting.
- Help clients with their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment.
- Care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding.
- Provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill.
- Promote mental and physical activities of clients through talking, outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
- Make and change beds, perform light cleaning, empty commodes and general tidying.
- Inspect, launder and mend clients’ clothes.
- Set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clear away, and wash up.
- Read and write reports and participate in clients’ reviews and training activities.
- Adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times.
- Encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.
