CARE ASSISTANT
Summary of role
To share with other staff in meeting the personal care and support needs of customers in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independence. The care and support provided by Care and Support Workers is expected to include support that would reasonably be given by members of the client's family and is not to include tasks that would normally be undertaken by a trained nurse.

Key Responsibilities
-
Provide personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting.

Help clients maintain their independence and mobility, including the safe use of equipment and personal aids.

Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and light household tasks.

Offer companionship and encourage participation in social, recreational, and daily activities.

Provide care and comfort to clients with complex, temporary, or end-of-life care needs.

Monitor and report any changes in clients' health, wellbeing, or circumstances.

Maintain accurate care records and attend training and review meetings.

Follow company policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements at all times.
