Role Description
We have full and part-time, Care assistant roles based in the Hastings & Rother area East Sussex.
The Care assistant will provide support with daily living support to clients in their homes.
Responsibilities include helping with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders, as well as supporting clients with shopping, appointments, and community activities.
The role also involves monitoring clients’ well‑being, documenting care provided, and promptly reporting any changes in condition to supervisors.
The Care assistant will build trusting relationships with clients and their families, uphold Caremark’s care standards, and follow all safety and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications
- Direct care skills, including assisting mobility support, and safe transfer techniques.
- Basic household support skills, such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and helping with daily routines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to observe, record, and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition accurately.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a client-centered environment.
- Capacity to work independently, follow care plans, and adhere to health and safety procedures.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting people to live safely and comfortably at home.
- Previous caregiving, home care, or healthcare experience is beneficial but not always required.
