Caremark Cannock Chase & South Staffordshire is recruiting Home Care Assistants to join our team. You will assist in caring for customers in their own homes. The successful candidates will be required to travel to and from customers’ homes to undertake personal care and household duties for customers who may be suffering from mobility problems, dementia, end of life or they may just need some help getting back to full health after a period in hospital. We are looking for dedicated and reliable people who have an excellent work ethic and a passion for caring for people.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high quality of care
- Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each customer
- Respect the customer’s independence and authority and treat them at all times with fairness and courtesy
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of customers and themselves
- Assist customers to get up and/or go to bed
- Assist customers with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting, etc.
- Keep customers company by day or sit with them at night providing personal care as required
- Assist customers with preparation of meals or other food and beverages
- Undertake cleaning duties (dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc.)
- Maintain regular communication with the care manager
Qualifications & Skills
- Good standard of spoken and written English
- Achieved or willing to study towards NVQ2/Health & Social Care Diploma
- Driving licence and own transport
- Excellent communication skills and a good team player

- Providing Care – 1 year (experience)
- Driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Own vehicle and valid UK driving licence
