We are a busy manufacturing/fitout company based in the Northwest, focusing on the Medical, Leisure, Education and Hospitality sectors. Due to continuing growth, we are looking to increase our team with new positions within our factory.
Areas of work are within our Furniture Assembly, Postforming, Press, CNC areas and our joinery specialist area. Training will be provided in the use of all machinery and equipment. Successful candidates will be responsible for producing high-quality products using various hand and mechanised tools.
Key responsibilities are:
- Production and assembly of wood, laminate, veneered products.
- Ability to interpret and read workshop/design drawings. (Training will be provided)
- Ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.
- Ensure that deadlines for all items produced are met and maintained.
- Adhere to all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures.
- Any other duties within the job holder's sphere of knowledge, experience or competency as requested.
Essential Criteria for bench joiners:
- Post apprenticeship experience of furniture, carpentry, and joinery.
- Previous experience within joinery gained within a manufacturing or shop fitting environment.
- Ability to work with minimum instruction in terms of cutting and building up unit components.
- Ability to set up work pieces and tools.
- Process work effectively and produce quality workmanship.
- Ability to supervise and run small build projects i.e. manufacture of reception desk.
Essential Criteria for factory operatives:
- Ability to listen and learn.
- Work as part of a team.
- Ability to work with your hands.
- Furniture assembly experience would be of benefit.
Hours of work & Salary: 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 1.30pm finish on Friday. Hourly rate based on experience.
