Job Description

Job Role: Project Worker Children and Young People

Location: Wokingham

Employment Hours: Full time, and part time

Rate of Pay: £12-£14per hour

We are a busy Childcare Agency that has been providing temporary staff solutions to a wide variety of childcare services for over 35yrs. We are currently seeking a Project Worker to support students in a local special school that offers day and residential provision for young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

Hours are Monday to Friday 0830-1630 (ongoing term time only).

You will working for a dynamic and compassionate organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will work closely with primary aged children (8yrs-11yrs) providing support, guidance, and empowerment to help them navigate life’s challenges and achieve their goals. We are looking for a motivated Project Worker to work alongside the existing team.

Role Overview: As Project Worker, you will play a key role in providing practical and emotional support to young individuals who may be facing a variety of challenges. Your role will involve building trusting relationships, promoting independence, and encouraging personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to young people, offering guidance on a range of personal, social, and emotional issues.
  • Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with young people.
  • Work with young people to set personal goals, action plans, and assist with their implementation.
  • Advocate on behalf of young people, helping them access resources
  • Offer emotional support, ensuring young people feel heard and respected.

All positions are subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS certificate.
