Contract: Full-time / Permanent

Salary: £25,350 per annum

Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and reliable Bookings Assistant to join our busy agency team. Working alongside the bookings and office team, you will assist with managing client bookings, contacting agency workers and helping to ensure shifts are covered efficiently. This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has good attention to detail and is confident communicating with clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving and processing client booking requests
  • Contact agency workers regarding shift availability and requirements
  • Assist with allocating suitable staff to bookings
  • Confirm shift details with clients and agency workers
  • Maintain accurate booking and staff records
  • Assist with changes, cancellations and last-minute bookings
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries
  • Liaise with the recruitment, compliance and payroll teams
  • Provide general administrative support to the bookings team

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Good organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A positive and flexible approach to working as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience in healthcare, social care or a staffing agency
  • Previous administration or office-based experience
  • Previous experience of bookings, scheduling or coordinating staff
