Overview

As a Maintenance Operative at Careline Lifestyles, your main responsibilities include ensuring the premises are safe and well‑maintained through daily inspections for Health and Safety hazards, maintaining an electronic maintenance log, and verifying tasks with the Manager, except in emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections for potential Health and Safety hazards.
  • Keep an electronic maintenance log and ensure all issues are reported and addressed promptly.
  • Verify all tasks with the Manager, except in emergencies.
  • Ensure lights, especially bulbs, are working properly throughout the premises.
  • Maintain tidy gardens, yards, and fire exit areas, especially during poor weather conditions.
  • Inspect and maintain hot water and heating systems.
  • Carry out painting jobs, including touching up areas as needed.
  • Inspect drains and gutters weekly to ensure proper functioning.
  • Organise and test fire equipment, hoists, lifts, boilers, air conditioners, and other equipment.
  • Carry out weekly fire drills and document findings in the Fire Drill Log Book.
  • Keep all records up to date and notify the Administrator/Directors of any potential hazards for further action.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to new tasks and responsibilities as required.
  • Maintain a proactive and responsible attitude towards maintenance and Health & Safety.
