We're looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team at Wilkinson Park, Harbottle. Please note: this role involves supporting adults who may display behaviours that challenge and is not primarily an elderly care position. Experience working with complex needs is advantageous, but full training will be provided.

We're a family-run business, established for over 30 years, with 11 specialist Care Homes across the North East of England. We specialise in supporting adults aged 18+ with a range of complex needs, and our focus is always on helping the people we support to live meaningful, fulfilling and as independent a life as possible.

Our services support individuals with a range of needs, including:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Mental health needs

  • Behaviours that may challenge

The Role

Location: Wilkinson Park, Harbottle, NE65 7DP

Salary: £13.04 per hour

Hours: Part-Time & Full-Time Available

Job Type: Permanent

As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support to the people living at Wilkinson Park, helping them to develop their independence, achieve their goals and enjoy everyday life. No two days are the same. You could be supporting someone with their daily routine, helping them access the community, encouraging them to take part in activities, or simply being there to provide reassurance and support when they need it.

Your role may include:

  • Providing person-centred support in line with individual care plans
  • Supporting with daily living activities and personal care where required
  • Promoting independence, choice, dignity and inclusion
  • Building positive and trusting relationships
  • Supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge
  • Encouraging participation in activities and community engagement
  • Supporting individuals to develop life skills and confidence
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working positively with colleagues, families and other professionals
