Our client is a global software distribution organisation, seeking an experienced Service Management Lead/ Consultant to support a large-scale service improvement programme. This role will focus on stabilising the current IT service estate while defining and implementing a future-state service design roadmap aligned to ITIL best practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Defining, implementing, and ensuring the following:
    • Service Management
    • Service Definitions
    • Service Ownership
    • Service Accountability
    • Service Monitoring
    • Service Relationships
    • Service Support protocols
    • Service OLA/SLA and establishing suitable OKRs
  • Establishing and defining suitable mechanisms for Service Transition from pre-production into production
  • Defining and delivering a working Asset Management, CMDB and then a Service Catalogue
  • Extending the existing Change Management/Enablement across the application and engineering teams

Key Skills Required:

  • Framework Mastery: Deep understanding of ITIL 4 practices (Service Strategy, Design, and Transition).
  • Process Mapping: Experience building service blueprints and analysing operational processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and align technical teams with corporate strategy.
