Data Platform Operations Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) is required by a global organisation to lead the operational management of a Microsoft Fabric-based data platform.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing operational leadership for the Microsoft Fabric data platform and associated data services, ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of production data environments.
  • Managing Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, security models, and platform settings across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Coordinating platform releases and deployments across environments.
  • Monitoring platform performance, SLAs, and capacity to support service management and operational support.
  • Implementing security, identity, and access management controls across Microsoft Fabric in line with organisational standards.

Required experience and skills:

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Fabric administration, with good knowledge of capacities, workspaces, security models, and platform settings.
  • Experience managing Fabric environments across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud platform operations.
  • Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, including Fabric release management.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability for Microsoft Fabric platform performance and capacity.
  • Experience with identity and access management for Fabric workspaces, users, and service accounts.
  • Service management, incident, and problem management experience.
