We're looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a growing AI & Data Team, leading the design of modern, scalable data platforms that power analytics, automation and AI across the enterprise.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and own enterprise data architecture across modern cloud and lakehouse platforms, enabling business intelligence, analytics and AI initiatives.
- Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models, creating trusted, reusable data assets that support reporting and advanced analytics.
- Define data integration architecture for batch, streaming, API and event-driven data pipelines, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Establish best practices for Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, security and privacy across the data estate.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, secure and maintainable data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, standards, design governance and mentoring, while driving best practice across engineering teams.
- Leverage modern cloud technologies including Databricks, Spark, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse and Azure Purview to deliver enterprise-grade data platforms.
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience with Databricks and modern lakehouse architectures.
- Expertise in Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Integration and Enterprise Data Architecture.
- Advanced SQL, data modelling and cloud data platform experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise data architecture in production environments.
