Business Process Modeller
Contract: 6 Months Initial Contract
Rate: £550/day Outside IR35
Location: Remote with occasional travel as required
Overview
We are seeking an experienced ERP business process modeller to support a major international transformation programme spanning 14 countries.
The organisation is moving from a combination of legacy Navision systems, manual processes, spreadsheets, and paper-based workflows to a standardised Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) platform.
This role will focus on analysing, documenting, designing, and delivering future-state business processes, with an initial emphasis on the Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle before expanding into wider ERP process areas.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, SMEs, and delivery teams to create standardised global processes that can be adopted across multiple countries and business units.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Modelling & Design
- Analyse and document current-state ("As-Is") business processes across multiple countries and business units.
- Design future-state ("To-Be") processes aligned with organisational transformation objectives.
- Lead process harmonisation and standardisation initiatives across 14 countries.
- Create detailed process maps using recognised methodologies such as BPMN.
- Identify inefficiencies, risks, manual activities, and process improvement opportunities.
- Define future operating models and process governance frameworks.
Order-to-Cash Transformation
- Lead process design activities across the end-to-end Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Analyse and redesign:
- Customer onboarding
- Order management
- Pricing and billing
- Invoicing
- Accounts Receivable
- Credit management
- Collections
- Customer service processes
- Ensure processes are scalable, standardised, and suitable for ERP implementation.
Business Analysis
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
- Perform gap analysis between current and future operating models.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and process documentation.
- Produce business requirements documents, user stories, process flows, and operating procedures.
- Support change impact assessments and business readiness activities.
ERP Transformation Support
- Work closely with ERP delivery teams supporting the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Support process alignment with ERP functionality and best practices.
- Assist with testing, UAT preparation, business validation, and process sign-off.
- Support data migration and process cutover activities where required.
- Ensure successful adoption of new processes across all regions.
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Process Modeller, Senior Business Analyst, Process Consultant, or Transformation Consultant.
- Strong experience designing and documenting end-to-end business processes.
- Experience delivering large-scale ERP or business transformation programmes.
- Demonstrable experience leading Order-to-Cash process transformation initiatives.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working across multiple countries, regions, or business units.
- Strong understanding of business process modelling methodologies (BPMN or equivalent).
- Experience creating As-Is and To-Be process maps.
- Experience driving process standardisation and harmonisation initiatives.
Desirable Experience
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O exposure.
- Microsoft Navision (NAV) or Business Central experience.
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, retail, or professional services environments.
- Experience working on global ERP rollouts.
- Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
