We are seeking high‑calibre Associate to AVP‑level Operations professionals to join a fast‑paced private banking operations team. This role is suited to individuals with deep, practical experience in corporate actions processing and settlements operations, who can operate autonomously from day one and bring strong risk awareness to a highly regulated environment. Successful candidates will already possess end‑to‑end operational ownership of corporate actions and settlements workflows, with strong underlying equities product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑end corporate actions processing for equities (mandatory and voluntary), including event interpretation & validation, election handling & deadlines, booking and accounting impacts, reconciliations & break resolution and custodian announcement validation & query management.
  • Comfort with event‑specific and market‑specific nuances, across e.g. stock splits, rights issues, tender offers, restructurings & market conventions such as Japanese equities corporate actions.
  • Strong settlements knowledge, including SWIFT messaging (MT54x series), matching, confirmations, and settlement lifecycle.
  • Understanding and handling of Fails, 515/518s, and post‑settlement adjustments.
  • Custody and securities servicing workflows, including SSIs setup, validation, and maintenance, asset transfers (DVP/FOP).
  • Interaction with global custodians and sub‑custodians.
  • Practical application of CASS Rules 6 & 7 within an operational control framework.

Corporate Actions & Asset Servicing

  • Take full ownership of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events from announcement through posting.
  • Validate and interpret corporate action notifications from custodians and vendors.
  • Manage elections, deadlines, client instructions, and downstream booking impacts.
  • Resolve discrepancies through reconciliations and break investigation.
  • Handle market‑specific and event‑specific complexities with confidence.
  • Liaise directly with custodians, agents, front office, and client teams.

Settlements & Post‑Trade Operations

  • Support daily settlements activities across relevant markets and instruments.
  • Process and investigate: SWIFT messages (MT54x). Trade matching and settlement issues. Fails, claims, and 515/518 processing.
  • Maintain and validate SSIs to mitigate settlement risk.
  • Support asset transfers and custody movements.

Risk, Control & Governance

  • Apply a strong operational risk mindset to daily processing.
  • Identify, escape, and resolve exceptions in line with control frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, market practice, and regulatory obligations (including CASS).
  • Contribute to process improvements and control enhancements.

Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrated subject‑matter expertise in corporate actions and settlements (not exposure).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong reconciliation capability.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage custodians and internal stakeholders proactively.
  • Calm and effective under time pressure and market deadlines.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are, which vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 days and even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
